Inspiration | Even More Marble Projects!

Normally I’d post an inspirational post first before presenting you my DIY, but this one here was a rather spontaneous idea. Since marble projects are so popular right now, not only with me, I thought I’d share a few more with you! This way you not only have my small selection of marble projects but can actually marble half of your apartment interior. And who wouldn’t love that? There are of course many wonderful marble projects using my beloved marble adhesive tape. You can really update your laptop, phone or even a tabletop with that (or tea-light holders). For this roundup however I want to concentrate on the creation of the effect itself, with so many different techniques!

Marble projects – the techniques

There is actually a technique out there to fake real marble called marbleizing, but I’m not lecturing you about that. I rather want to explore all the ways to create this effect on almost every item of your home. As I’ve written on Tuesday, you can use things from pumpkins to fabric and wax for your marble projects. Crucial at this point is the paint you want to use for your surface: Enamel paint works wonderfully with candles, nail polish for smooth surfaces like glass. If you want to marble fabric a combination of shaving cream (no joke!) and fabric paint works best. And if you want to go all marble-crazy, try polymer clay in different colours and have a go at that. There are so many options! Just take a pick:

I can really not decide which one of these marble projects I like best, and which one I’d like to craft in the near future. Aren’t those marble mugs just perfect as a Christmas gift? And those marble candles are so stylish I wouldn’t want to burn them down, seriously! What’s your favourite one of these marble projects?
