Inspiration | Guest Post: Essential Outfits You Need this Spring

This is a guest post by Ryan Duffy! Let’s see what he has to say: Each year, we are excited to witness the numerous fashion weeks which take place in different countries worldwide. These events allow use to see what outfits are going to be popular as we approach the coming seasons, and all of the popular fashion designers once again produced the goods! For many, it was the New York fashion week that caught the eye of most fashionistas, which was mainly down to the fact that were so many eye-catching outfits on display. Listed below are the best picks which are sure to be big inclusions when it comes to preparing your wardrobe for the spring months.

Multi-Purpose Sweater

A sweater is always an essential item for any spring wardrobe, it is easy, convenient and goes with a whole host of different outfits. When it comes to the spring months, the weather can be in that awkward stage of being too cold for a t-shirt, but too warm for a coat – so the sweater is the perfect choice! At the fashion weeks, instead of wearing the sweater in a conventional way, it appears designers chose to make more of an accessory out if it instead! If you’re wanting to incorporate this into an outfit, think about wearing a cropped jumper then tie a sweater around your waist or shoulders.

Bright Yellow

Towards the end of spring when the weather is generally warm, it can be a great idea to wear brighter colours. This season, it appears the designers have picked out yellow as the choice! There a variety of yellow outfits for us to wear once, with the best choice being a a yellow dress and white sandals, but however you choose to embrace the colour, it will be sure to be an extremely lively outfit.

Bra Style

Another big outfit addition as we approach the warmer months is the bra-top. No longer will your bra be hidden under your shirt, but now it will be a key part of your outfit. The type of design seen differed from designer-to-designer, but the best choice to get into the mood for spring would be to go for a flowery design and team it with a pencil skirt or denim shorts.

Ankle Bling

When it comes to jewellery trends, one of the biggest trends will be jewellery that will accompany your ankle – rather than your wrist or neck. With most ankle jewellery pieces, you would usually get clips or anklets, but it appears the designers this year have chosen to go for strong, statement jewellery that will make a big impact. This ranges from stacks and cuffs, to heavily embodied strands. So, when it comes to the full outfit, you will probably want to go for the ‘rock chick’ look and go all-black with a leather jacket, skinny jeans and a pair of converse pumps.

I’ve had toe rings for years and I’m totally jumping on the anklet trend — I love how delicate and pretty they look with summer sandals!

I love the ankle bling! Especially in the Summer. But I’m also loving arm bracelets too now.

I do need some courage for that style, but maybe I’ll try it this year!

It’s so sad but I’ve been waiting years for anklets to come back into style! I need some bling below the knees to detract from my paleness 🙂
